Earth Day Ribbon Cutting: Sedona Recycles – Baler Unveiling & Community Celebration

Join the Sedona Chamber of Commerce, Sedona Recycles, City of Sedona Sustainability Team, and Compost Crowd as we celebrate Earth Day with the official Ribbon Cutting and unveiling of Sedona Recycles' new recycling baler — part of a larger community celebration and fundraiser at the Sedona Recycles facility.

This important equipment investment strengthens Sedona Recycles’ ability to process materials efficiently and sustainably, supporting the long-term resilience of Sedona’s locally operated recycling program. The project represents a true community effort and a major milestone in advancing environmental stewardship in Sedona.

The Ribbon Cutting ceremony (12:00 – 12:30 pm) will take place during a broader Earth Day celebration from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Guests are invited to tour the recycling facility, see the new baler in action, connect with local sustainability organizations, enjoy live music, visit community vendors, and purchase food from an on-site food truck. Fundraising activities and donor appreciation gifts will also be part of the celebration, supporting Sedona Recycles’ mission and long-term financial sustainability.

As we began thinking about how to celebrate Earth Day this year, something clicked. Celebrating the baler — alongside the community that made it possible — felt like the perfect way to bring people together while shining a light on the importance of Earth Day and the work happening right here in Sedona."
