SUMMARY:Small-Group Bald Eagle & Raptor Experience
DESCRIPTION:Join the International Raptor & Falconry Center for an intimate small-group encounter featuring our resident Bald Eagle along with several other members of IRFC's Flying Team. \nThis unique educational experience offers the opportunity to spend time with multiple birds of prey while learning about their biology\, ecology\, conservation\, natural history and training in an air conditioned\, indoor setting. \nParticipants will have the opportunity to meet several raptors and\, under the direct supervision of Dr. Michele Losee\, will have the opportunity to hold up to two trained education birds. Additional birds will be presented throughout the program for close observation and discussion. \nThe experience also includes a rare opportunity to meet IRFC's resident Bald Eagle\, Moira\, up close while learning her individual story and the conservation challenges facing America's national bird. For her welfare and in accordance with federal regulations\, the Bald Eagle is not available for public handling. Flying Team member participation and handling opportunities may vary depending on each individual's training\, molt\, welfare and applicable permit requirements. \nThis is an educational experience designed to provide a more personal and interactive setting than is possible during a public presentation.
