“A Tribute to the Forgotten People” — Mariposa Film & Feast Luncheon
Lisa Dahl's Weekend of Giving opens at Mariposa with a powerful cultural tribute and culinary experience honoring the Indigenous communities who have long called this land home. Guests begin their journey outdoors on the red rocks before gathering for a screening of the award-winning documentary Lisa Dahl: Blessed by Grace, directed by James Beard Award winner Eric Wolfinger. The afternoon continues at Mariposa with a sensory celebration of Indigenous artistry, featuring tribal drumming, native flute, storytelling, and a choreographed culinary journey created by Chef Lisa Dahl. This moving commemoration blends food, culture, music, and meaning into an experience designed to uplift, educate, and deeply inspire.
A multi-course luncheon—timed and choreographed with theatrical precision—unfolds into an unforgettable afternoon of inspired cuisine and heartfelt presentations. This opening event sets the tone for the Foundation’s mission, illuminating Soup Hope, the Universal Soup of Love, and its first initiative to bring real nourishment to impoverished Native American communities across Arizona and beyond.
At the heart of The Lisa Dahl Foundation, Soup Hope delivers nearly a day’s worth of nutrition in every cup. This plant-based, gluten-free Minestra blends 27 organic heirloom beans and legumes with vibrant vegetables, fresh herbs, and restorative spices. Served at Mariposa Latin Inspired Grill, Soup Hope is crafted to provide immediate sustenance, comfort, and dignity to those who need it most.
