Operations and Volunteer Assistant (AmeriCorps Position)
This position supports the daily operations of Friends of the Verde River’s Community Center while helping connect people to conservation through volunteer engagement, environmental education, and community outreach. The Operations and Volunteer Assistant will help create a welcoming space for visitors, support stewardship events, and assist with volunteer coordination and environmental programming.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist with daily operations of the Community Center and help maintain a welcoming space for visitors and volunteers.
- Support environmental programs, workshops, meetings, and community events through setup, logistics, and event assistance.
- Help recruit, coordinate, and communicate with volunteers for stewardship projects, river cleanups, restoration events, and educational programs.
- Assist with volunteer scheduling, materials, and day-of-event support.
- Engage with community members about Friends of the Verde River’s conservation programs and opportunities to get involved.
- Support environmental education, outreach events, and community stewardship initiatives.
29-hour work week with a combination of on-site Community Center activities, outdoor events, and occasional field work.
